Thursday began with a 6 am flight...lunch at "Triple J's" BBQ & then it was off the Sports Authority to get packets ready for pick up the next day. We were only there until midnight;)
Friday morning started with my new favorite breakfast from Jamba...Blueberry&Blackberry oatmeal! Then it was off to Sports Authority for the most exhausting 13 hour day I have ever experienced! Afterwards Dustin&I treated ourselves to a Waffle House dinner at midnight! Yum!
Saturday...4:30 am it's go time! Race day was so much fun! It was an adrenaline rush! Noon I left with Rachel(Dustin stayed to clean) and we headed to Galveston to have lunch with Caleb(who was working his heart out) followed by a trip to the beach to play & to see the beach houses Caleb has been building! Note to self Caleb will one day be building my house!
Afterwards we headed back to the house to get cleaned up&to wait for Dustin to get back from cleaning!
Did I mention Saturday was Dustin's 30th birthday?!
Rachel was so sweet and made Dustin's favorite cake ...yellow with chocolate frosting...and his favorite treats...oreos&popsecret home style popcorn.
Once Dustin made it home, showered, & rested up a little bit we were off to Kemah for dinner at T-bone Toms & to ride rides on Kemah Boardwalk! The night was a success! We rode the best/scariest wooden roller coaster...experienced a free fall...and out screamed a clan of 13 year olds!
Sunday was another early morning flight...but it was good to be headed home! I loved out mini vacation/work trip!
