Dear William,
please, please, please stop growing up! The last 5 months with you have flown by...I'm loving the stage you are in right now! Giggles, smiles, coos, squeals of delight, snuggles, & those blue blue eyes that seem to look straight into my soul. Life does not get much better than this. If I could stop time I would. I now know who dreamed up Peter Pan and Neverland, where little boys never grow up. A Mother!!
Love, Mommy
I look at these photos of you, Will, and I see a little boy! It is very exciting and yet makes me sad at the same time. Just the other day I was so sad as I packed up your clothes that no longer fit you. Thinking of the times you wore them and how cute you looked in them was enough to bring me to tears{sheesh who knew mommyhood would bring so many tears?!}. I love watching you grow, learn, and develop. You are so sweet and tenderhearted through and through. Your heart is made of pure gold. You are continually bringing so much happiness into our home it seems to be bursting at the seams. When some days I feel worn out by the day to day mundane tasks you always seem to flash me a big toothless grin and it's in those moments that I remember what matters most to me. You. Daddy. The Savior. The Gospel. People...not things or tasks.
Here are a few of my favorite things you have started doing since turning the big 5 months:
- You have started rolling from your back to your tummy{though you aren't consistent with rolling over you are very capable of doing it:)}
- When I'm nursing you or putting you to sleep you like to put your hand in my mouth and give me the sweetest grins.
- You are starting to babble more and more...you have a lot to say these days...the problem is I just don't understand what you are trying to say;)
- You have really found your voice and exercise it often by screaming out loud...usually it's during church:)
- You love putting everything and anything in your mouth.
- Anything within reach you will grab.
- You love squash, pears, and bananas. You still are not a huge fan of peas...but I don't know anyone who is really keen on them myself:)
- Your big belly laughs are becoming more and more frequent{keep them coming...your daddy and I love it when you laugh}.
- You have started pitching a fit when you go down for a nap...even though you are exhausted and usually are out within a few moments of fussing you still insist of fighting me.
- You are starting to move like crazy!
