William's Grandma & Grandpa Stones made the 12 hour trek from Moses Lake, Washington to South Jordan, Utah to see their newest grandson when he was a mere two weeks old.
Little Will slept for most of their visit. It's one of his favorite past times:)
It was a very welcome and emotional visit for me. I love living in Utah but I definitely miss my parents...A WHOLE LOT! I loved having my own Mom here to give me advice and just to make me laugh. My emotions were pretty sensitive during those first two weeks after having Will. One moment I would be fine and the next I would be bawling. Things that mostly triggered my cry sessions included:
- Thinking of William growing older{I want him to stay my small little babe forever}
- Being away from Dustin or William{Literally hated being more than 5 feet away from them}
- Not having my parents around{I felt a little homesick}
- Letting other people hold him{Yes I am that mom who hates sharing him..still have issues with this one}
So you can tell from list above it was so nice to get some good ol' belly laughs out of me. The weekend was so much fun, but went by too quick for my liking. My sister Micaiah{who I am happy to announce is expecting her first this coming January}, her husband Michael, My sister Abigail, and her Fiance Matthew all came up from Provo when my parents got in to join in the family celebration. We mostly sat around holding the baby and talked but we did make a trek down to Provo to do some wedding dress shopping{for Abigail}, went to dinner with extended family at Cafe Rio, attended church, and then lounged around some more. It was relaxing and exactly what I needed.
It was heartbreaking when the time came to say goodbye to my Washingtonian family. I cried the whole night long after they left. Thankfully my little snugglebug, Will, & my very sweet husband helped to ease the heartache.
We love you Grandma & Grandpa Stones! We will see you again very soon!
