9-5 Work Exercises


"Tumble outta bed 
And stumble to the kitchen 
Pour myself a cup of ambition 
Yawnin' and stretchin' and try to come to life 

Jump in the shower 
And the blood starts pumpin' 
Out on the streets 
The traffic starts jumpin' 
With folks like me on the job from 9 to 5" 


If you are like most people you work a 9-5 job with deadlines, meetings, an organized pile of papers on your desk, an unorganized pile of papers on your desk, voice mails, emails, and a too short lunch break! All the while you are still trying to juggle after work plans, workouts, and the dreaded question of ‘What’s for dinner?’!  In one word we are BUSY! 

To help keep you awake during the day & the extra pounds away I've researched and experimented with some of the top office exercises that have actually worked for me!

  •   Butt Squeezes
  • Arm Dips(using chair arms)
  • Calf Raises
  •  Desk or Wall Push-ups
  • Sitting Leg Lifts
  • Lunges
  • 1 Leg Squats


Try doing one of these exercises every hour.  Start by doing 3 sets of 10!  Increase your reps and sets accordingly.

Other tips:
  • Take the stairs
  •     Stretch throughout the day (you can do arm and leg stretches in your chair?!)
  •     Get a pedometer to keep you motivated to move!
