Our Wedding Day 10.29.12

"We're going to the temple and we're gonna to get married!  Gee I really love ya and we're gonna get married! Going to the temple of love!"

Our wedding day could not have gone any better!  The sun was shining, I was warm enough that I didn't have to wear a coat, and I married the cutest dimple smiling man I ever did saw!

Sarai's Day Preparations:

6:30 AM: Wake up Wake up!  I spend the night at my Aunt Karen's house with my family...When I woke up I jumped on my sister Abigail, (who I was sleeping with) shouting "I'm getting married, I'm getting married!"
6:45 AM: Jump into the shower...5 min later jump out!
6:50 AM: Throw on sweats & rush out the door to my stylists house...luckily she lived close by!
7:00 AM: Charelly-belly does my hair and makeup!  We had a blast laughing and laughing...we are dorks together;)
9:00 AM: FLY out her door...I'm already late!  I'm supposed to be at the temple in half hour..eeks!
9:10 AM: Bust down the door to Karen's, scarf down eggs, put on my church dress, grab my wedding dress, wedding shoes, accessories, temple bag, purse, make-up for touch-ups, and kiss Munckin Kai.
9:20 AM: We are late, but we are on our way to the temple!
9:40 AM: My dad is a lead foot (just like me) so we weren't terribly late.  My mom and I hopped out at the curb and ran our buns off into the temple!  We made it!!

Dustin's Day Preparations:

6:30 AM: Sleeping
6:45 AM: Sleeping
7:00 AM: Sleeping
9:00 AM: Wakes up
9:05 AM: Hops in Shower, dresses, and does his hair
9:15 AM: Leaves for temple
9:30 AM: Arrives at temple

Call me crazy but that almost does not seem fair!  Lucky duck!

Once we were at the temple we had to check in my dress, fill out some paperwork, and then Dustin and I sat in the Celestial Room for a very long time together!  There were four other couples in there with us...and since we love to people watch we couldn't help but look!!!
Couple #1: Sat about a foot away from each other and were not talking...like not even a peep!
Couple #2: Groom(to be) was staring off into space while Bride(to be) kept glancing at her ring and said repeatedly "isn't it so pretty?"
Couple #3: Bride was a mess because she had left her grandmother's handkerchief that she wanted to get married with.
Couple #4: Kept asking each other if they were nervous!
Us; the 5th and final couple: We were playing thumb wars!
After each and every couple had left and a significant amount of time had passed we were worried we had been forgotten!  What seemed like a "Coon's age"(dustin's words not mine) a temple worker came and got us...IT WAS OUR TURN!
We met with our sealor, whom we both instantly loved, and then we were ushered into our sealing room!  It was amazing seeing all of our friends and family gathered around!

Sarai's Favorite Memories/Moments at the temple:

1. When I saw Dustin as we walked in the door to the temple!
2. Just before the cute temple worker took my mom to the sealing room to wait she had us both stand in together looking into a full length mirror.  We were both in tears.  It was such a tender moment for me.  One I will never forget.
3. Spending time with Dustin in the Celestial room together before we got married.
4. Our Sealor was amazing!  I loved our actual "wedding ceremony"!
5. Kissing my HUSBAND for the first time!
6. Hugging all of our amazing friends and family right after the sealing!
7. Getting ready to walk out the doors to meet our family as the new MR. & Mrs. Dustin Hansen!

After out grand entrance we gave hugs and kiss, took a billion million zillion photos, and then we were out of there to make final preparations for the reception and honeymoon!

We drove back to my Aunt's house in Draper to pick up my loose ends and then we hustled over to Dustin's parents house to pack Dustin for the honeymoon!  Are you serious this boy has it so easy...he can pack in 15 min flat!
FAVORITE MOMENT: I will never forget the moment when were driving to my Aunts house.  Our Photographer drove us, Dustin was in the passanger seat and I was in the back.  We were shoveling pizza down us and I looked up to see Dustin's hand changing the temperature gage.  On his left ring finger sat his wedding band!  I loved it!

Our reception was gorgeous!  I cannot thank my wonderful amazing Family, In-laws, Sweet Pea Catering, and our Friends enough for all the preparations they put into our wedding reception!  That barn glistened and sparkled with twinkling lights and mason jars lit with tea lights.  The aroma of hot cocoa filled the air and the sight of donuts, apples with caramel dip, and homemade breads made my mouth water!  We chatted with family and friends throughout the night and then when we could talk no more we made our way to the dance floor.
Heather Ferguson(now Jackman) led us in as she sang to our first dance as husband and wife!
Once we wrapped that up it was time to cut the cake and cut the rug!  Dustin is the most amazing dancer, and I am insanely attracted to that about him!  He definetly "got the party started" acting as Dj and Pro-Dancer!  We danced until the late hours...and when our feet could take no more we kissed our friends and family goodbye and we were off like one of those cheesy fairytales as Mr. & Mrs. Hansen!
