Washington DC

Last month I was able to go with Dustin to Washington DC to help with a Color In Motion 5K race.  These events are the most exhilarating/exhausting things.  You're so energized because everyone is pumped and excited to race. You're exhausted because you're getting little to no sleep for 3 nights, red-eye flights, and working 12+ hour days on your feet(I always need a good masseuse after one of these trips).

Luckily after the race we had a good day and a half to make the most of our Washington DC excursion. First stop after the race was the shower!  Second stop was an amazing burger & salad joint (that I can't remember the name of at the moment) and Third on the list was a trip to Georgetown to FINALLY try Serendipity's Frozen Hot Chocolate.  Unfortunately, we didn't have the best customer service but I did love the Frozen Hot Chocolate.

Second day, Sunday, Dustin and I went to an early sacrament meeting then joined the others in our group for lunch and our much anticipated segway tour!  This is honestly the best way to see DC in such a short amount of time. After our tour we still had a few hours before needing to catch our flight so we ran through the holocaust museum, over the river to the Jefferson memorial, and sped through the aerospace museum.

We were running short on time so we dashed back to our car, sped to the airport, waited patiently in line for security, grabbed a few snacks and boarded our flight just in time!

It was a whirlwind trip but good memories were made.  Until next time DC.
